User Interface Overview
About
The Model Object Search enhances the way users interact with object model data, enabling efficient and precise selections within the 3D environment. It allows user to create complex queries by applying multiple conditions to filter data. With this capability, user can streamline workflow, eliminate challenges of manual selection and easily locate specific objects even when they are hidden or occluded by other elements in the mode. This solution improves user experience by simplifying the data filtering process, thus making the model more interaction more intuitive and responsive to user’s need.
Access
To access the Model Object Search, start by entering the Building Space where the model data is located. Allow the model to complete loading so that all data is fully accessible. Model Object Search
The following steps outline how to effectively use the Object Model Search to select and isolate objects in the 3D model:-
- Add Query Filters:
- To start filtering, select specific filters from the main headers: Domain, Storeys, Elements, and Supplier. If you already know what you’re searching for, use the search bar to locate it quickly.
- To apply a filter, click on the relevant header and choose an item from the list.
- a tick mark will confirm your selection.
- To remove an item, click it again to deselect it, or use the X below the search bar to clear it.
- You can combine multiple filters across filter groups to narrow down your selection further, such as:-
- Selecting Elements <Columns + Beams> and Storeys <Storey 02> to view all columns and beams on the second floor
- Selecting Elements <Columns> and Storeys <Storey 01 + Storey 02> to view all columns on the first and second floor.
- If needed, you can further refine the selection by individually selecting elements in the 3D model; simply click on an element to add it to the selection or click again to deselect it.
