Version 1.2.37

Version 1.2.37 (14 May 2026)

New Features

This release introduces a range of powerful new features and enhancements designed to improve your early-stage analysis, streamline your design workflows, and provide greater control over your projects.

Site features

  • Gain immediate insight into site acoustics with the new road-based noise analysis. This feature automatically identifies nearby roads and visualises potential noise levels, helping you make more informed decisions during early-stage feasibility studies.
  • Better understand your site's context by viewing the distance to key local amenities directly within the scenario space. This helps in assessing site viability and connectivity for future occupants.
  • Optimise your site's parking capacity with a new 'Maximise Parking' toggle. This option allows the solver to automatically generate the highest possible number of parking spaces for both surface and internal car parks, saving you manual effort.

Residential building features

  • Streamline your design process with enhanced building templates that now directly integrate with your Unit Library. This allows for greater consistency and efficiency when applying standardised unit layouts to your building models.
  • Residential tower area metrics are now calculated based on Uniclass standards, providing more consistent and industry-aligned data for your projects.

Industrial building features

  • Enjoy greater flexibility in data centre design with enhancements to our Cooling Distribution Unit (CDU) tools, allowing for more precise and customisable cooling layouts.

General Enhancements

  • Introduced helpful tips and hints throughout the platform to guide you through key workflows and features, making it easier to discover and utilise Podium's full potential.
  • Access key project and portfolio information more easily with the new Podium Home Panel, now conveniently located in the main toolbar for quick navigation.

Bug Fixes

We have been hard at work resolving issues to improve the stability and performance of the platform. This release includes the following key fixes:

Site features

  • Corrected the floor count range displayed in the site-level area metrics for projects containing multiple industrial buildings with varying floor counts.
  • Corrected the calculation of used and unused building area in the site metrics when a generic building mass is added to the site.
  • The used and unused percentage in the site area metrics now calculates correctly when a data centre is placed on the site.

Residential building features

  • Resolved a problem with the scaling tool in the unit editor, which now functions correctly for resizing unit components.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented the removal of unit templates from the library.
  • Fixed an issue in the Building Layout Editor that prevented units and cores from being moved between different building segments.
  • When editing a building core, the visual highlight will now correctly display its current position instead of its previous location.
  • Resolved a floorplate solver error that occurred when applying a residential floorplate to a generic building mass.
  • Fixed a critical error that prevented changes from being saved in the floorplate editor, which sometimes resulted in an error page.
  • Resolved a floorplate solver error that could occur after selecting a corridor type in the Design Assistant.
  • Addressed a rendering issue where a generic building, once edited and assigned a residential function, would not display correctly.
  • The details in the properties panel now update correctly when selecting a different storey after a riser has been selected.
  • Removed a duplicate unit label for 'Constructed Floor Area' in the area metrics for residential buildings.
  • Fixed a solver error that would occasionally occur when voiding a unit in the floorplate editor.
  • Prevented duplicate unit templates from being created when the 'Add template' button is clicked multiple times in quick succession.
  • The 'Flip' option for residential buildings in the Building Layout Editor now works as expected, correctly mirroring the layout.
  • Adjusted the logic for point block towers to ensure the generated layouts accurately match the design criteria set by the user.
  • Resolved a wall solver error that occurred when using a specific residential building template.
  • When changing a unit's type, the system will now automatically reposition it if necessary to avoid overlapping with adjacent units.
  • Ensured that the Loading Bay Layout Solver, intended for industrial buildings, is no longer incorrectly triggered when solving residential buildings.

Industrial building features

  • Resolved an error where internal columns were not being generated for data centre models, ensuring structural integrity is correctly represented.
  • Fixed solver errors that occurred when using a specific structural system for double-loaded modular industrial buildings.
  • Addressed an issue where updating the beam width would prevent a modular industrial building from solving correctly.
  • Ensured that structural slabs are correctly generated in the wireframe model to support cooling units in data centre designs.
  • Ensured that columns are generated correctly at both ends of cooling units in modular data centre designs.
  • Corrected the number formatting for the 'Minimum Utility Power' and 'Plant Space Area' fields for modular data centres.
  • Fixed a bug causing columns in modular data centres to be misaligned.
  • The plant area for modular data centres now updates correctly and automatically when the floor count is changed.
  • Resolved an issue where the basement was not being generated for modular data centre building types.
  • Corrected the calculation of parking metrics for single-tenant warehouse projects.

Structural features

  • Improved the column generation logic to ensure that columns are correctly stacked vertically through multiple storeys.
  • Fixed a solver error related to applying loads to floor diaphragms, which particularly affected tall models.

General User Interface

  • Corrected an issue where the wall thickness displayed in the properties panel did not match the rendered thickness in the Spatial Editor, ensuring a true what-you-see-is-what-you-get experience.
  • Addressed an issue where incorrect editing options were displayed for certain building types. The correct building editing tools will now appear as expected.
  • Corrected formatting and alignment issues in the Sanitary Ware and Fittings schedules for improved readability.
  • The 'snap to lines' functionality now works reliably on previously solved buildings, improving modelling precision.
  • The right-hand properties panel now automatically collapses when opening the elevation profile or fly-through windows, providing an unobstructed view.
  • Metrics for individual floors are now consistently displayed as expected.
  • Improved platform performance on large sites with a high density of contextual data, resulting in a smoother and more responsive user experience.
  • The 'Cost Rate' and 'IT Load Cost Rate' columns are now correctly displayed in the Dynamic Schedule table. We have also corrected header alignment issues.
  • Resolved an issue in the administration area where pages for adding or editing queries would only load after a manual refresh.
  • The fly-through and elevation profile windows will now close automatically when another tool or option is selected, improving workflow.
  • Fixed an issue where the wireframe for an office building would sometimes disappear in the Building space.
  • Corrected a rendering issue that caused basements to be displayed in the wrong location.
  • Reduced the loading time for the Engineering Configuration panel, allowing you to access these settings more quickly.
