Version 1.2.36

Version 1.2.36 (27 Apr 2026)

New Features

We are excited to introduce several new features and enhancements designed to improve your design workflow, provide greater flexibility, and offer deeper insights during the early stages of your projects.

Residential Building Features

  • The residential floorplate editor now gives you greater control over your floor layouts β€” you can swap, change, or void individual unit templates directly on the floorplate, with the layout regenerating coherently to reflect your changes. You can also reposition or rotate the core cluster and staircase core anywhere on the floorplate, allowing for more precise and adaptable design configurations.
  • To improve design compliance and efficiency, Podium now recommends the required number of lift cores for your residential building based on Site space inputs, helping you quickly assess whether your current lift configuration meets the necessary standards and building demand.
  • You can now perform more precise edits to hammerhead turning areas on your building. This enhanced control allows for greater flexibility in optimising building placement and site circulation to better fit complex site boundaries.

Site Features

  • Gain more control over your site layouts by assigning specific types to pathways. You can now define pathways as Pedestrian Footpaths, Vehicular Driveways, Fire Engine Accessways, and more, ensuring your site plans are more accurate and detailed.

Industrial Building Features

  • We have introduced new layout options for chiller and cooling tower plants in data centres by allowing for rotation of equipment in plant rooms, providing you with more flexibility in designing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

General Improvements

  • Improvements have been made to drawing parameters, resulting in better quality and more consistent drawing outputs from the platform.

Bug Fixes

This release also includes a number of bug fixes and performance improvements across the platform. Our focus has been on enhancing stability, improving data accuracy, and refining the user experience.

Residential Building Features

  • Resolved an issue where an incorrect unit overlap error was displayed when voiding, swapping, or flipping units in the Building space editor.
  • Fixed an error that occurred when using residential unit templates containing walls, ensuring floorplates solve correctly.
  • Addressed a problem where selecting a generic building designated with a residential function would cause an error after solving.
  • Corrected the data source for Gross Floor Area, Carpet Area, and Balcony Area metrics for residential towers to ensure greater accuracy in reporting.
  • Fixed an issue where marking a single unit as void would incorrectly mark all subsequent units on all floors as void.
  • Ensured that the planning envelope height compliance check now correctly identifies and flags when a residential building exceeds the defined height limit.
  • An incorrect unit overlapping error that appeared when swapping units in the residential editor has been resolved.
  • Voided residential units are now correctly represented and hidden in the 3D building model after solving.
  • Corrected the calculation for building height in the area metrics panel for residential buildings, ensuring the displayed value is accurate.
  • Fixed a user interface issue where linking two nodes in the floorplate editor failed to generate complete spatial information, improving the reliability of wireframe aggregation.

Industrial Building Features

  • The Unit Mix, Unit Count, and Gross Floor Area metrics have been restored to the metrics panel for modular industrial buildings.
  • Resolved an issue that prevented users from editing construction cost rates within the engineering configuration for industrial projects.
  • The option to define a roof pitch has been added to the building criteria for multi-tenant industrial buildings.
  • Fixed a site compliance error that occurred when an industrial building was placed on a site that also contained a generic surface.
  • Addressed a solver error related to the buildability score that occurred after modifying a ramp's location for an industrial building.

Data Centre Features

  • Corrected a rendering issue where data centre models would not display properly after their dimensions were edited and re-solved.
  • Fixed a placement issue where generator sets were incorrectly located outside their designated room when a specific capacity was selected.
  • Resolved an inconsistency in the calculation of rack quantity and IT load metrics for modular data centre templates, ensuring these key metrics are now accurate.
  • The assembly time metric is now correctly calculated and displayed for data centre projects.
  • Ensured that the basement footprint now automatically updates to match changes in the data centre tower's footprint.

Structural Features

  • Fixed a pile solver error that occurred in industrial models when using a specific combination of concrete encased steel columns.
  • Improved the placement logic for structural columns at corridor branches in residential buildings to prevent them from encroaching into the corridor space.
  • Corrected the measurement units in the configuration ID for structural walls from metres to millimetres, ensuring data consistency.
  • The Embodied Carbon column in the Bill of Materials (BOM) for structures is now correctly populated with data.

Site Features

  • The boundary of a building pad on a topographical survey is now correctly displayed with a dotted line for better visual clarity.

Project and Portfolio Management

  • The 'Used In' count for tags in the tag manager now correctly updates when a linked project is deleted.
  • Resolved an issue where a 'Cloning is still in progress' message would persist after a scenario had been successfully duplicated. Cloned scenarios are now accessible immediately.
  • Fixed an issue where clicking on a duplicated scenario link from the notifications panel did not navigate the user to the correct scenario page.

General Improvements

  • Corrected a pagination issue in the 'Add Unit Templates' window, ensuring results and page counts reset correctly when filters are applied.
  • Fixed an issue where parking lots were not being generated for generic buildings, even when a parking area was calculated.
  • The warning message for duplicate template names will now only appear when a name is genuinely a duplicate.
  • Resolved an issue where the notification window would become blank after accessing a duplicated scenario. The notification list will now remain visible.
  • Addressed an issue where equipment would become misplaced after updates were applied to the model.
  • The floor-to-floor height input is now correctly disabled for generic buildings when the 'open to sky' roof option is selected.
