Version 1.2.31

Version 1.2.31 (2 Feb 2026)

New Features

We are excited to announce a range of new features and enhancements to the Podium platform. This release focuses on providing greater control over site analysis, expanding our capabilities for data centre design, and improving the overall user experience.

Site Features

  • GLB Model Export: You can now export your designs from both Site and Building Space as GLB files for use in third-party viewers. The export will respect any active filters, ensuring you only share what is relevant.
  • Enhanced 3D Topography: We have improved the generation of 3D topography to produce a cleaner mesh. This provides a more accurate representation of your site and prevents the warping of map projections.
  • Customisable Topography Contours: Gain deeper insights into your site's conditions by setting custom height intervals for topographic contour lines, allowing for more detailed analysis.
  • Improved Topography Viewing: New view states for topography in Site Space give you more control over how site information is displayed.
  • Precise Model Placement: You now have the ability to move and rotate the base point of your models, offering greater flexibility and precision in positioning buildings on your site.
  • Visible Floorplates in Editor: To create a more intuitive design experience, your solved floorplate is now visible when you enter the floorplate editor, providing immediate context for any modifications.
  • Simplified Site Metrics: To provide a cleaner and more focused view, we have removed obsolete metrics from the interface.

Residential Building Features

  • Streamlined CAD File Downloads: A new option allows you to easily generate and download specific DXF files for your residential scenarios directly from Site Space, simplifying the integration of Podium data into your feasibility studies.
  • Cleaner Engineering Configurations: We have tidied up the engineering configurations for residential projects by removing unused site criteria, making the platform easier to navigate.

Industrial and Data Centre Features

  • New Data Centre Equipment Schedules: To enhance your design documentation, you can now automatically generate detailed equipment schedules for Cooling Towers, Chillers, and Cooling Units.
  • Accurate Data Centre Cost Estimation: We have introduced a new MEP Capital Expenditure Rate based on IT load, enabling more precise cost forecasting for data centre projects.
  • Flexible Data Hall Templates: Data Hall Cluster templates are now separate from building templates and can be edited in the layout editor, providing greater customisation and control over your data centre designs.
  • Optimised Loading Bay Placement: The logic for placing loading bays for multi-storey data centres has been updated to support more efficient and practical site layouts.

Bug Fixes

This release also includes a number of bug fixes and stability improvements across the platform. Our team has worked to resolve issues reported by users to ensure a smoother and more reliable experience.

Site Features

  • Fixed an issue that could cause the platform to crash when closing a driveway polyline.
  • Corrected a bug where multiple polylines were created when defining a landscape area.
  • The 'Accept' button is now correctly enabled when creating a site using a DXF file.
  • Resolved an issue where green coverage metrics were not appearing for industrial models in Site Space.
  • The landscape area drawing tool now correctly closes polygons as intended.
  • Self-intersecting edge notifications will now correctly appear for imported sites.
  • Fixed a bug where empty metrics were displayed when selecting a site division.
  • Site coverage metrics now display correctly after placing a single-storey warehouse.
  • Addressed a delay in the removal of the green buffer when a building is deleted from the site.
  • Corrected the display of the planning envelope, which could appear below the site if the platform level exceeded the allowable height.

Residential Building Features

  • Resolved an issue where a residential building could overlap with a podium structure after the podium's floor-to-floor height was adjusted.
  • An infinite solving loop that could occur when moving a residential model between the site and a podium has been fixed.
  • Addressed a problem where the unit mix in engineering configurations was missing the room type.
  • Corrected an issue where some cost metrics were not appearing for residential buildings.
  • We have fixed several residential solver issues to improve unit placement optimisation, ensure unit mix outputs are more consistent, and correctly display room layouts.
  • The space function value for residential roof storeys is now correctly assigned.
  • The output for Point Tower models now correctly matches the unit count input and improves unit placement.
  • Fixed an issue where the view would not switch correctly after saving changes in the layout editor.
  • Addressed inaccuracies in the generation of floorplate editor unit boundaries.

Industrial and Data Centre Features

  • Fixed various solver errors for industrial buildings, including issues related to angled spines, ramps, wall generation, and MEPH systems.
  • Piles are now correctly generated for ramp sections in industrial models.
  • Resolved a site compliance error that could occur when updating the floor count of an industrial building.
  • Construction cost metrics are now correctly displayed in Site View for industrial buildings.
  • Addressed an issue where embodied carbon values were incorrectly reported in the Bill of Materials for certain data centre models.
  • Overall site metrics for data centres now update correctly when a new dedicated data centre is added to a site.
  • Area metrics are now correctly displayed for Cooling Tower Plants.
  • Fixed a bug where compliance errors would persist even after a data centre or warehouse model was updated to meet planning rules.
  • Basement floor boundaries for data centres now display correctly after the floor-to-floor height is changed.
  • Resolved errors that could occur when deleting a data centre from a project.
  • The default chiller system for data centres is now set to the correct type.
  • Storey-level cost and time details are now correctly populated in the Dynamic Schedule for industrial buildings.
  • The 'Set as Scope' functionality is now working as expected for industrial models.
  • Empty values will no longer appear in the construction metrics for child elements of data centres.
  • The order of Tenant Criteria in the right-hand panel for multi-tenant warehouses has been corrected.

Structural Features

  • Corrected the database key used for composite column eccentricity calculations to ensure accurate structural analysis.
  • The correct load combinations are now used for evaluating shear and bending moments.
  • The deflection computation for Hollow Core Slabs and Steel Truss Systems has been fixed for greater accuracy.

Supplier Features

  • Resolved solver errors that occurred when updating the floor count on industrial models while the 'Limit solutions to chosen suppliers' option was enabled.
  • Fixed an embodied carbon solver error that was triggered when the 'Limit solutions to chosen suppliers' option was enabled.

Revit Integration

  • An error that occurred when using the 'Generate Direct Shapes' function in Revit 2025 has been resolved.
  • Fixed an issue that was preventing spatial elements from being generated correctly in Revit exports.
  • Podium's shared components are now fully compatible with Revit 2026.

General Fixes

  • Cloned buildings will now render correctly after their criteria have been updated.
  • A bug causing the IPMS1 value to be the same for the overall building and the primary storey has been fixed.
