Version 1.2.24
Version 1.2.24 (29 Sep 2025)
New Features
This release introduces a host of new capabilities to improve design efficiency and data analysis across the platform.
Residential Building Features
- To create more efficient layouts, residential units are now automatically compacted towards the core along multi-segmented building spines.
- You can now add up to two staircases within a single service core, allowing for more flexible and efficient vertical circulation designs in the floorplate editor.
- Gain greater control over your service core layouts with the ability to adjust the location and dimensions of MEP riser zones directly within the floorplate editor.
- Improve the efficiency of your spine layouts by snapping spine segments directly to the edges of your service core clusters in the floorplate editor.
- The floorplate editor now visualises room spaces and layouts, providing a clearer understanding of the floorplate configuration as you work.
- When measuring distances in residential towers, corridor dimensions can now be excluded to give you a clearer and more accurate measurement of the space available for units.
Industrial Building Features
- For data centre designs, you can now automatically calculate the minimum required utility power based on the building's IT load and target Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE), helping to validate design feasibility early on.
- You can now solve for the required PUE based on the available utility power for a data centre, providing another critical metric for validating site power constraints.
- Customise your site layout for specific operational needs by defining the depth of loading and unloading zones for industrial production units.
Site Features
- A new site cutting tool has been introduced, allowing you to easily subdivide a site boundary into multiple parcels for phased development or separate plot analysis.
Data and Analysis
- Introducing a powerful new model query tool that allows for advanced interrogation of your design data using various functions.
- Query results can now be viewed in a clear, dynamic table format, effectively allowing you to create custom schedules from your model data.
- Easily refine your analysis by filtering the results returned by the model query tool.
- For advanced users, queries can now be manually edited, providing a flexible way to test concepts, debug issues, and mock up data.
Bug Fixes
We have resolved numerous bugs to improve platform stability, accuracy, and overall usability. This includes key fixes to structural calculations, site creation tools, and metric reporting.
Residential Building Features
- Area metrics for residential towers, including carpet area, now consistently display the correct values.
- Point towers now generate with the specified number of units, resolving an issue where fewer units than requested were being created.
- Corrected an issue where void areas within unit templates were assigned an incorrect component type.
- Validation for overlapping spaces now works correctly after merging spaces.
- Improved the reliability of lift cluster placement and automation on complex, branched building spines.
- The floorplate editor now provides a clearer view of layouts by hiding wall geometry.
- Units now attach correctly to service cores that have been rotated.
- Addressed an issue where a lift could overlap with a corridor in certain configurations.
- The correct number of MEP risers are now generated for towers with multiple clusters.
- Floor-to-floor heights now update correctly in the model metrics when the floor count is changed.
Industrial Building Features
- Parking lot dimensions for industrial buildings now update correctly based on the values set in the Engineering Configuration.
- Embodied Carbon metrics are now successfully generated for industrial building models.
- Building properties are now reliably displayed for data centres and warehouses, even when multiple buildings are present on a site.
- Fixed several inconsistencies where metrics such as unit counts and gross floor area were reported incorrectly or were missing for warehouses and data centres.
- Data centre inter-pod aisle widths now update correctly based on the selected aisle containment type.
- Addressed several solver errors that could occur with specific industrial building configurations, improving overall model generation reliability.
Structural Features
- Corrected an issue that caused inconsistent structural loads to be applied to slab elements. Load calculations now accurately reflect user-defined values.
- Addressed a bug where forces on structural beams were underestimated. Bending moment and shear force calculations are now more accurate, leading to more reliable analysis.
- The visualisation of slab spanning direction is now displayed correctly in orthogonal directions.
- Column positions are now rendered consistently across different views of the platform.
- Resolved an error that could prevent the structural system from generating correctly for some residential buildings.
Supplier Features
- Filtering for supplier-specific products, such as transformers and switchgear, now functions as expected within the Engineering Configuration panel.
Site Features
- Multiple enhancements have been made to the site subdivision tool, resolving issues with saving, visualisation, parcel selection, and snapping for a more stable and intuitive experience.
- The workflow for drawing a site boundary when creating a new project is now more reliable.
- Building height metrics for generic massing objects now update correctly when the floor-to-floor height is modified.
- Addressed a rendering artefact that could appear on sites with complex geometry.
Platform and Usability
- Improved the underlying stability of geometric calculations to prevent errors and enhance reliability across the platform.
- The scenario comparison screen is now more stable and loads reliably, especially for projects with a large number of scenarios.
- Metrics displayed in the scenario comparison screen are now consistent with the values shown in the main project metrics panel.
- Guest users now reliably receive password setup emails when invited to a project for the first time.
