Version 1.2.45

Version 1.2.45 (18 Sep 2026)

New Features

We are excited to announce a range of powerful new features designed to streamline your workflow, enhance project management, and provide deeper insights into your designs. This release focuses on delivering greater control over organisational standards, improving site analysis, and adding key functionality to the building design process.

Platform Features

  • Centralised Metric & Policy Libraries: To ensure consistency and standardisation across all your projects, we have introduced new libraries at the organisation level. You can now create, manage, and version control your area metrics policies in a central location, with the ability to publish project-level changes back to the main library.
  • Advanced Area Calculations: Gain greater control over your project metrics with new tools to create and manage Area Calculation Types at the organisation level. You can now configure how different space types map to these calculations for more accurate and customisable reporting.
  • Enhanced Metric Visualisation: You can now visualise area metrics directly for buildings in both the Building and Site space. This provides immediate visual feedback on how your design changes impact key project data.
  • Engineering Configuration Control: To prevent accidental changes to critical engineering parameters, project administrators can now lock the engineering configuration. This provides an extra layer of security and control during the detailed design phase

Site Features

  • Scope Isolation in Site View: Focus on specific parts of your project with the new Scope Isolation tool. You can now easily set a selection of objects as your primary scope or hide them from view, decluttering your workspace and improving concentration on the task at hand.

Residential Features

  • Enhanced Unit Template Editor: We have made several enhancements to the Unit Template Editor to improve usability and streamline the creation and modification of your standard unit designs.

Structural Features

  • Detailed Foundation Data: Gain deeper insight into your structural design. You can now view detailed data for shallow foundation objects in the properties panel and access a full Bill of Materials in data schedules and Excel downloads.

User Experience Improvements

  • Improved Tooltips: We have updated tooltips across the platform to provide clearer and more helpful information when you interact with different objects and tools.

Bug Fixes

This release also includes numerous bug fixes and stability improvements to enhance your experience on the Podium platform. Our team has focused on resolving issues related to scenario management, building modelling, data accuracy, and overall performance. Key fixes include:

Residential Building Features

  • Building Layout Editor Stability: Resolved several issues where residential units would be displaced or thrown out of the building spine after actions like mirroring, separating, or deleting adjacent units.
  • Core Placement: Fixed an issue where a new clustered core could not be added to a design. We also corrected a problem in cornered residential spines where the core was generated outside the building footprint.
  • Model Rendering and Updates: Corrected bugs where updating the floor count failed to re-render the model or update area metrics. Building parameters now apply immediately after a solve, and an issue causing rendering errors when cloning a building after swapping its template has been fixed.
  • Consistent Controls: Mouse controls for panning and orbiting are now consistent between the 2D and 3D views in the Building Layout Editor for a more intuitive experience.
  • Toolbars & Dimensions: The toolbar in the contextual building editor mode is now always visible as intended. We also resolved display issues where dimensions were incorrectly projected between views or were not visible.
  • Floorplate Management: Fixed issues where changing a level's allocation type was not being recognised, where floorplate metrics were not displaying at the individual floor level, and where split areas were not applied correctly after geometry changes.

Industrial Building Features

  • Accurate Power Metrics: Corrected calculation errors that caused the Target IT Load in reports to display incorrectly for values of 1000 MW or higher, and ensured the 'Minimum Incoming Power' site metric calculates correctly for sites with multiple data centres.
  • Component Placement & Generation: Fixed several issues with component generation, including missing High Voltage lots, absent generator sections, and incorrect vertical placement of cooling towers. We also addressed inconsistent placement of MEPF spaces in modular industrial designs.
  • Industrial Spine Editing: The angle of an industrial building's spine can now be updated correctly using the text input box.

General Fixes

  • Scenario Locking: Locked scenarios are now properly protected from changes, ensuring that users cannot inadvertently modify them from the Building Layout Editor or through scenario generation.
  • Parking Generation: Addressed an issue where driveway gaps were not being correctly generated between central parking lots in certain layouts.
  • Parcel-Specific Build Zones: Ensured that when a build zone is created for a specific parcel, it is correctly applied to that parcel only, instead of the entire site.
  • Sub-plot Planning Envelopes: Planning envelopes created for sub-plots will now correctly persist after reloading the browser.
  • Saved Views: Fixed a problem that prevented users from re-entering previously saved views.
  • Building Templates: Previews for building templates now render correctly, resolving issues where they would overlap or fail to display for certain elements. We also implemented new validation rules in the template editor to prevent overlapping spaces.
  • Element Visibility: Corrected a display bug where hiding an electrical cluster element would also incorrectly hide the chillers.
  • Design & Markup Sets: Users are now able to delete sets in the design and markup tool as expected.
  • Image Scaling: An issue with incorrect image scaling for points within an image has been resolved.
