Version 1.2.23
Version 1.2.23 (10 Sep 2025)
New Features
This release introduces a host of powerful new features and enhancements designed to streamline your workflow, from early-stage site feasibility to detailed building design. We've focused on providing greater control, more accurate analysis, and a more intuitive user experience.
Site Features
- Achieve more precise site divisions with the new ability to see live dimensions on screen as you split a site parcel.
- You can now merge site subdivisions, providing more flexibility by allowing you to easily undo a site split.
- Improve the accuracy of your feasibility studies by setting the height of non-developable land parcels to zero, which excludes them from all calculations and analyses.
- We've streamlined site definition by consolidating site boundary tools. Now, multiple 3D volumes are automatically merged for a cleaner and more intuitive workflow.
Residential Building Features
- Podium now helps you meet your residential unit mix targets more effectively. The platform intelligently adjusts the unit mix in newly created towers to compensate for any deviations, ensuring your project stays on track.
- Gain deeper insight into your buildingβs performance with enhanced MEPF analysis. You can now assign specific plumbing, electrical, and mechanical design parameters to different space types for more detailed and accurate system demand calculations.
- You can now designate specific areas within a floorplate as voids. This allows you to remove units from a design while preserving the structural continuity of the building, perfect for creating atriums or double-height spaces.
- We've improved the editing controls for residential towers with hammerhead ends, giving you more precise control to generate more practical and well-formed building designs.
- To aid in detailed design, a dedicated zone for MEP risers is now visualised within the residential core, improving spatial coordination and planning.
Industrial Building Features
- For data centre designs, Podium now automatically calculates the total IT load and the required number of IT racks based on your pod layouts, streamlining power and cooling infrastructure planning.
- Improve compliance and efficiency in industrial designs. Core zones and egress routes are now automatically generated based on a configurable unit depth, ensuring travel distance requirements are met without over-provisioning.
- You can now design multi-tenant warehouses directly on your site. This feature allows for the subdivision of a building zone to accommodate multiple tenants within a single structure.
Bug Fixes
We are continually working to improve the stability and reliability of Podium. This release includes a significant number of bug fixes across the platform, addressing issues in design configuration, analysis, and general usability to ensure a smoother experience.
Site Features
- Compliance checks have been improved to correctly display an error when a building is placed within an area designated as a 'no build' zone.
- Corrected a compliance error that was incorrectly triggered when a podium was placed partially outside of a basement footprint.
Residential Building Features
- Resolved an issue where 1-bedroom apartment templates were not being applied correctly due to missing space type variants, ensuring templates are now used as expected.
- The quick link to Residential criteria in the engineering configuration panel is now working correctly.
- The icon for changing lift orientation within the floorplate editor has been corrected for better clarity.
- Unit colours now remain consistent when switching between view and edit modes in the floorplate editor.
Industrial Building Features
- Addressed an issue causing incorrect placement of parking spaces and HGV loading bays for certain multi-tenant warehouse orientations.
- Cleaned up the properties panel for multi-tenant warehouses by ensuring parking criteria is no longer displayed multiple times.
- Introduced validations to prevent the creation of a multi-tenant warehouse where the office height exceeds the total building height, or where its dimensions cannot accommodate the specified number of tenant units.
- Fixed a bug where single-tenant warehouses would disappear from view if the floor-to-floor height was updated to a value less than the total office height.
- The Gross Floor Area (GFA) calculation for modular industrial buildings now updates correctly when the number of floors is changed.
- Resolved solver issues that prevented modular industrial buildings from updating after changes were made to column modularisation values or when MEPF routing was performed on double-loaded buildings.
- Front-of-house spaces are now correctly generated in modular industrial buildings, even when the access ramp is relocated.
- Corrected the naming, type, and colour properties for aisle containment zones within data centre pods.
- The configuration panel for data halls, which had gone missing, has now been restored.
- Ramp type options are now correctly filtered based on the building's orientation to prevent invalid configurations.
- The default height for loading bays in industrial buildings has been corrected.
- A fix has been implemented to ensure only rectangular footprints can be used when creating warehouses, preventing geometry errors.
Structural Features
- Corrected the orientation and rendering of pile caps for both industrial and residential building models, ensuring they are now displayed accurately.
- Resolved a solver error that could occur when solving a model in the Building Space, improving the reliability of the structural analysis.
- Improved the alignment of wireframes generated for core structural units.
- Structural load case options are now correctly displayed for double-loaded building types.
Platform & Usability
- An issue preventing custom calculation formulae from correctly retrieving all required area and count metrics has been fixed.
- Guest users will no longer encounter a 'Page not found' error when accessing a project shared with them and will no longer be able to create new calculations from templates.
- Users invited to an organisation are now correctly added with 'Member' status instead of 'Guest'.
- Fixed a bug that prevented the complete list of projects from being displayed in the portfolio view.
- MDF Room and Bathroom space types, which were missing from the spatial editor, have now been restored.
- It is now possible to deselect an individual space after making a multi-selection and to select multiple zone edges simultaneously during an offset operation.
- Corrected a display issue where formatting was incorrect on images captured from the platform.
- The connection between ramp entrances and access zones has been improved to prevent obstructions and incorrect alignments.
- Resolved an issue where it was not possible to move a ramp after a validation error had been triggered.
- Fixed core engine issues that were preventing some formulae from being evaluated and certain design rules from being triggered.
- The save bar in the parking criteria section is now positioned correctly.
- Parking metrics are now calculated and displayed correctly when a storey in a generic building is assigned a parking function.
- Invitation and sharing links sent via email can now be used multiple times without failing.
