Version 1.2.29
Version 1.2.29 (30 Dec 2025)
New Features
This release introduces powerful new capabilities to enhance early-stage design analysis and reporting, alongside an expansion of our component library. These updates are designed to help you make more informed decisions, faster.
Structural Features
- Gain early sustainability insights with preliminary embodied carbon calculations for all concept-stage structural elements. This allows you to evaluate the environmental impact of design options for data centres right from the beginning of your project.
Site Features
- The Site Metrics panel has been streamlined for a cleaner and more relevant experience. We have removed duplicated and irrelevant fields for industrial projects, and metrics will now only appear once they have a value, reducing on-screen clutter.
- Analyse data centre projects more effectively at the site level. A new 'All Data Centres' view in the metrics panel now provides aggregated key metrics for the entire site, alongside a building-by-building breakdown of performance data.
- To improve cost and time analysis, a new dynamic schedule table is now available. This provides a clear, interactive breakdown of project data, which can also be exported to a CSV file for further analysis.
Industrial Building Features
- Accelerate your design process with new templates added to our library, including a new generic data centre and a new generic data hall template.
Bug Fixes
We have been working hard to resolve issues and improve the stability and usability of the platform. This release includes a wide range of fixes across different areas of Podium to create a smoother user experience.
Structural Features
- Resolved an issue where embodied carbon values were not being calculated or displayed for some structural elements.
- Fixed a calculation error that was occurring when generating the embodied carbon for certain industrial structural systems.
- Corrected a problem where the buildability score report for industrial models included an unnecessary and empty sheet for ramp structures.
- Addressed a bug in Building Space where some pile caps were being generated without their corresponding piles.
Site Features
- Improved the clarity of site-level metrics by ensuring values are now displayed with a maximum of two decimal places.
- The Site Area metric will no longer appear duplicated in the metrics panel.
- Corrected an issue where the 'Total Industrial Area' metric was incorrectly displaying a value of zero.
- Removed irrelevant 'Balcony Area' and 'Common Area' fields from the site metrics for warehouse and data centre projects.
- The 'Power train units' schedule will now correctly only appear when a Modular Data Centre is selected.
- Addressed an issue where creating a site division was possible without setting a height, which caused visibility problems.
- Fixed a bug where a site division would not be displayed correctly if it was created after a building had already been added to the site.
- The construction cost in the dynamic schedule table now correctly displays only the currency, removing the incorrect '/m2' rate unit.
- Corrected an issue in the dynamic schedule table where selecting 'All stories' and 'All sections' would incorrectly display the same data.
- Ensured that area units are now correctly displayed in the 'Area' tab of the dynamic schedule.
Industrial Building Features
- Corrected the calculation for various area metrics (IPMS) to ensure data halls, cooling spaces, and electrical clusters are reported accurately.
- Updated the cooling load calculation logic for data centres to improve accuracy.
- Resolved an issue where criteria were not visible for data centres that had been cloned.
- Fixed a mismatch in the output for electrical and cooling spaces within data centre models.
- Corrected an issue with Modular Data Centres where the capacity field had an empty default value, causing an error when edited.
- The basement option for a data centre will no longer disappear from the project navigation panel when another data centre without a basement is selected.
- Fixed a solver error that could occur when updating the capacity or load safety margin for a data centre cooling plant.
- Addressed a problem where cooling towers were not being generated when 'Water Cooled Chillers' were selected as the cooling type.
- Resolved an issue where compliance errors and success messages were not being displayed for data centre and warehouse models.
- Fixed a configuration issue for industrial projects where criteria fields for parking were not visible.
Residential Building Features
- Ensured that residential units correctly attach to the corridor after editing a building's spine, maintaining the integrity of the floor plan.
- Fixed an issue where a building's core could clash with a unit when using a small spine angle.
- Resolved a solver error that occurred when using a spine angle of less than 90 degrees with certain templates.
- Corrected a solver error that occurred when rotating a lift core with fewer than three lifts.
- Contextual criteria for elements such as lifts and MEP risers are now correctly displayed in the building layout editor.
- The core location is now correctly visible in the building layout editor after placing a unit attractor.
- Corridors are now fully visible and no longer appear transparent within the building layout editor.
- The confirmation message displayed after saving changes to a cluster in the building layout editor has been corrected.
- Addressed a bug that allowed a cluster's location to be moved while in view mode within the building layout editor.
- Fixed an issue where a validation error was incorrectly displayed when saving a template after positioning a unit entrance on a corridor edge.
