Version 1.2.26
Version 1.2.26 (18 Nov 2025)
New Features
We are excited to announce a major update to Podium, introducing powerful new capabilities for data centre design, enhanced cost and time estimation, and improved platform customisation. These features are designed to accelerate your feasibility and schematic design workflows.
Industrial building features
- Modular Data Centre Design: Introducing a new bottom-up design logic for data centres. The building's size and layout are now driven by core Data Hall modules, ensuring your designs are inherently modular and efficient from the very start.
- Interactive Modular Sizing: You can now design and resize data centre buildings using discrete module increments directly on the site plan. This aligns early-stage feasibility layouts with practical, modular construction principles.
- Automated Electrical Cluster Generation: Automatically generate and visualise key electrical equipment for data centres, such as Power Train Units and Modular Generating Sets. This helps integrate critical M&E components into the design from day one and includes links to supplier information for enhanced component selection.
- Data Centre Floorplate Editor: View and edit data centre floorplates in a new, dedicated editor, providing you with greater control and precision over the internal layout.
- Save Industrial Layouts as Templates: You can now save custom industrial building layouts as templates. This allows you to reuse proven designs across different scenarios and projects, significantly accelerating your workflow.
Site features
- Instant Construction Cost and Time Estimation: Get immediate feedback on the financial and scheduling impact of your design decisions. As you work in Site Space, the platform now automatically calculates and displays construction cost and time estimates for storeys, buildings, and the overall project. Cost values are formatted for clarity (e.g., ยฃ3.1b, โฌ55.0m).
- Enhanced Data Search and Filtering: We have improved our search functionality, making it easier to find specific properties and data within your models. You can also organise and analyse project data more effectively by grouping results in data tables by properties like element type or domain.
- Organisation and Project Unit Standardisation: Organisation administrators can now set default units of measurement to ensure consistency across all new projects. For international projects, these defaults can be overridden at the project level to meet regional requirements.
- Improved Visualisation Controls: Gain more control over your model visualisations. We have improved the options for overriding element colours and properties, including the ability to completely hide elements by setting their opacity to zero.
- Centralised Organisation Settings: A new settings area allows organisation administrators to manage basic company information, controlling how their organisation is presented to external partners and collaborators within Podium.
- Project-Wide Currency Display: To ensure financial clarity, the designated project currency symbol is now displayed next to all cost-related parameters throughout your project, eliminating any ambiguity.
Bug Fixes
This release also includes a number of bug fixes and stability improvements across the platform. Our focus has been on improving model solving, user interface consistency, and data accuracy. Thank you for your feedback, which has been invaluable in identifying and resolving these issues.
Residential building features
- Resolved an issue that caused an error when enabling the wireframe view in the unit editor.
- Residential towers within mixed-use buildings now display their correct names in exported Excel schedules.
- Units are now correctly displayed within residential templates that have been cloned or mirrored.
- Duplicated unit templates are now immediately visible and available for editing without needing to refresh the screen.
- The unit templates window now automatically updates to show changes immediately after a template is deleted, added, or swapped.
- The 'Save as Template' option is now correctly disabled until changes made in the Building Layout Editor have been saved.
- Corrected an issue where wireframe quadrants were generated incorrectly for mirrored residential unit templates.
- Fixed a problem where residential buildings would incorrectly merge with generic building masses when placed on top of them.
- An error that could occur when adding a basement, podium, and tower together in a specific sequence has been resolved.
- The system now correctly prevents multiple building templates from being saved with the same name.
Industrial building features
- Addressed several issues that could cause industrial buildings with specific ramp configurations or double-loaded layouts to fail during the solving process.
- Storey-level area metrics for multi-storey data centres can now be correctly isolated and viewed.
- Parking metrics, including heavy vehicle lot counts, are now correctly displayed when a warehouse or the overall site is selected.
- Car parks are now placed correctly following edits to the dimensions of a single-tenant warehouse building.
- Menu options related to residential building templates are no longer incorrectly displayed for industrial projects.
Structural features
- The system now correctly generates single, continuous beams for near-straight spine angles in residential buildings, improving structural model accuracy.
- An intermittent issue that caused incorrect rendering of some columns and beams in residential buildings has been resolved.
- It is now possible to visualise rebar details for columns in industrial models without encountering an error.
Supplier features
- When viewing a supplier's company profile, the correct contact details and documents for that specific supplier are now reliably displayed.
- An issue preventing some supplier users from viewing and editing their company profile has been fixed.
Site features
- Performance has been improved to allow large, complex models to be opened and viewed successfully.
- Corrected several user interface issues in the downloaded area schedule for a cleaner presentation of data.
- Landscape areas are now displayed correctly and consistently in both 2D and 3D views.
- Fixed an issue where the cursor would jump erratically when editing spaces within the Unit Template editor.
- It is now possible to delete multiple buildings consecutively without interruption.
- Scenarios can now be renamed using the name of a previously deleted scenario.
- Resolved an error that could occasionally prevent scenarios from loading correctly.
- We have fixed several issues related to guest access, ensuring guest users are added with the correct permissions, can view sample projects, and see an accurate count of shared projects.
- The left-hand navigation panel now consistently displays the correct menu options when an organisation administrator navigates through settings pages.
- After uploading an organisation logo, a save button now appears correctly to confirm the change.
