Version 1.2.22
Version 1.2.22 (28 Aug 2025)
New Features
This release introduces several new features and improvements to enhance your building design and engineering workflow within Podium.
Residential Building Features
- Users can now drag the edge of a residential tower segment to adjust its position, enabling more refined tower designs.
- Residential space types are now integrated with Uniclass space types in the unit editor for improved classification and consistency.
Industrial Building Features
- A new single-storey data centre layout has been added to the object library, incorporating the office area within the data hall cluster for a more streamlined floor plan.
- Loading bay demarcations can now be configured for data centres and warehouses, providing greater control over logistics planning in site space.
- Gross Floor Area (GFA) calculations are now available in site space, allowing for more accurate assessments of building size and utilization.
- Updated pod templates are available in site space, offering more flexibility and choices for data centre design. The new templates include:
- 5kW per rack - max 250kW Pod
- 10kW per rack - max 250kW Pod
- 10kW per rack - max 500kW Pod
- 15kW per rack - max 500kW Pod
- 20kW per rack - max 1000kW Pod
- Data hall internal layouts are now automatically generated, including pods, rack spaces, aisle containment, and clearances, optimizing space utilization.
- Buildability scores now account for mixed materials and building sections in industrial buildings, providing a more comprehensive assessment of constructability.
Structural Features
- A new corner column layout rationalisation feature allows users to ignore internal corner columns in concave floor plate layouts.
- New structural steel products have been ingested from suppliers Bluescope and ArcelorMittal, expanding the range of available materials.
Site Features
- Accurate 3D building models are now displayed on the flat map, enhancing site context visualization.
- Users can now merge spaces in the spatial editor, enabling the creation of non-rectilinear spaces and new space types.
- Buildable zone area metrics are now defined for sites, aiding in feasibility studies and site analysis.
- PDF document creation within workflows is now more flexible, allowing for the inclusion of additional information and dynamic data.
- A new Space Type Service centralizes access to space types, metadata, and standard alignment properties, improving data management and integration.
Collaboration Features
- Projects can now be shared with external guests, facilitating collaboration and communication. Guests can be given read only or edit access.
Bug Fixes
We have addressed several bugs in this release to improve the stability and performance of Podium.
Residential Building Fixes
- Fixed a collision issue between the hammerhead unit and other units when the hammerhead angle is set to 60 degrees.
- Fixed an issue where external units were not generated when the ventilation type was set to Natural.
Industrial Building Fixes
- Fixed an issue where the horizontal corridor was misplaced in the core zone when the ramp was moved to the south zone in modular industrial buildings.
- Fixed a clashing issue with distribution elements when the ramp was moved to the south in modular industrial buildings.
- Corrected incorrect area metrics for the office zone when the office area percentage was updated in warehouse designs.
- Resolved an issue where the bin centre was not placed under the ramp even with available space in modular industrial buildings.
- Fixed incorrect naming conventions for warehouses in the left-hand panel when multiple warehouses were added to a site.
- Fixed an issue where compliance errors were not displayed for ramp-up factories.
- Fixed an issue where the solver was unable to read adjacent edges when the corridor edge was not placed at the bottom of a unit.
- Corrected incorrect flags in the industrial unit distribution criteria.
- Fixed an issue where an empty supplier name was displayed for elements in building space.
- Addressed an issue preventing users from setting segment depth less than 30 meters.
Structural Fixes
- Fixed an issue with the load library not re-triggering upon structural design optimization.
- Resolved an issue where the structure was not solved in the production environment when accessed through Forma.
- Fixed schedule data not loading for system type 7 models.
Supplier Fixes
- Resolved an internal server error that occurred when selecting an opportunity.
- Fixed an issue where supplier details were not populated for cooling towers.
- Fixed a 500 error on accessing the generating set product variants table.
- Addressed missing switchgear product metadata in product variants.
- Resolved an issue with downloading product profile documents.
Platform Fixes
- Fixed an issue where projects created through the backend were not reflected in the UI.
- Corrected repeated options in the space types dropdown in the spatial editor.
- Fixed room flickering or misplacement while editing space dimensions.
- Fixed an issue where editing the numeric criteria of the angle for one corner of a modular element was applied to a different corner.
