Version 1.2.30
Version 1.2.30 (13 Jan 2026)
New Features
We are excited to announce a new set of features designed to enhance your workflow, provide greater flexibility, and improve the design process within Podium. This release focuses on improving usability in the early stages of design and expanding project configuration options.
Site Features
- To make site division more intuitive, the slice tool is now always active and available when you are working with site divisions. This removes the need to re-select the tool repeatedly, streamlining your feasibility workflow.
Supplier Features
- You can now apply a hard constraint on the selection of suppliers for structural components. This provides greater control over project specifications and helps ensure compliance with your procurement strategy.
Structural Features
- The buildability score is now presented more clearly in the right-hand panel. For a deeper analysis, a detailed breakdown of the score's components is now accessible in a convenient pop-up modal.
General Platform Enhancements
- You can now generate and export DXF files directly from your project, improving interoperability with other CAD software and downstream workflows.
- To better support our global users, projects can now be configured to use imperial units and different currencies, allowing you to work in the measurement and financial systems that best suit your project's needs.
Bug Fixes
This release also includes a number of important bug fixes and stability improvements across the platform. We have focused on resolving issues within our analysis solvers, improving the accuracy of data reporting, and refining the user interface for a smoother experience.
Residential Building Features
- Resolved an issue that prevented certain residential unit configurations from being structurally analysed.
- Fixed a geometry problem that caused some residential units to overlap with adjacent corridors.
- Ensured that Embodied Carbon values are now correctly calculated and displayed for all wall elements in residential building reports.
- Corrected an error that blocked the structural analysis of residential models designed with an angled spine.
- Addressed a discrepancy where the number of units displayed in a point block did not match the values set in the project criteria.
- Fixed a calculation error where the 'undefined area' for a podium was being reported incorrectly in the site metrics.
- Resolved a bug where selecting the 'mechanical' ventilation type could cause clashes between units and corridors.
- Addressed an underlying error in the pile solver that occasionally occurred during the structural analysis of residential buildings.
- Improved the accuracy of carpet area calculations across all residential models.
Industrial Building Features
- Updates to the floor count criteria for industrial buildings are now correctly reflected in the main building metrics.
- Fixed a clash detection issue in data centre models where chiller plants could conflict with data hall pods when the corridor width was adjusted.
- Visualisation of data centre models has been improved, ensuring that changes to the number of cooling tower cells are now correctly displayed in the 3D view.
- The Net Lettable Area and Efficiency values for industrial buildings will now correctly appear in the Dynamic Schedule.
- Resolved a solver error related to staircase generation in industrial models with specific floor-to-floor heights.
- Fixed a wireframe error that could prevent an industrial building from being analysed after the location of its ramp had been changed.
Structural Features
- Addressed a spatial wireframe error that could occur when analysing models containing angled geometry.
- Resolved a wall solver error that sometimes occurred when analysing a model in the Building space.
- Fixed an issue that could cause an error when the Buildability Score was being updated.
- Corrected a modelling flaw that created small gaps at the end of Z-shaped floorplates.
Interoperability
- When generating a modular data centre model via the Revit Plugin, chiller plants and chillers are now positioned correctly.
Platform and Usability
- The camera in the Spatial Editor now remains stationary while a space is being moved, creating a more stable and predictable editing experience.
- The snapping behaviour in the Unit Editor has been refined to provide a smoother and more precise drawing action.
- Corrected an issue where the snapping function failed to work as expected when adding multiple walls in the Spatial Editor.
- Space names and area labels will now remain visible on all spaces while editing a single space within a template.
- Resolved a permissions issue that incorrectly prevented some users from viewing their complete project list via the portfolio page.
