Version 1.2.27

Version 1.2.27 (5 Dec 2025)

New Features

This release introduces powerful new capabilities and enhancements across the Podium platform, designed to improve design flexibility, provide deeper insights, and streamline your workflow from early-stage feasibility through to detailed design.

Residential Building Features

  • Enhanced the Spatial Editor with more intuitive wall creation tools. You can now draw walls as polylines, offering greater flexibility and precision compared to the previous rectangular drawing method. We have also improved the selection criteria for walls, making editing your designs faster and more efficient.
  • Core building elements such as stairs, lifts, and risers are now automatically integrated into the spatial wireframe during generation. This ensures that the geometry of these essential vertical circulation components is captured early in the design process, allowing for seamless integration with the structural model and improved design coordination.
  • Improved the snapping functionality within the Spatial Editor for greater precision. You can now reliably snap to adjacent edges, a background grid, and user-created guidelines, ensuring perfectly aligned spaces and eliminating unintended gaps in your layouts.

Structural Features

  • The column layout rationalisation feature has been extended to residential buildings. Architects can now designate columns as 'preferred' or 'optional', providing greater control and flexibility in communicating design intent to the structural solver.

Site Features

  • Volumetric building metrics in the Site Space now incorporate function-specific data. When you define a function for a podium, basement, or generic building, the associated metrics will automatically update, providing a more detailed and accurate understanding of your early-stage designs.
  • Scenario summaries for individual buildings are now directly visible on the scenario summary page. This provides immediate access to key data for each building within a scenario, without needing to export the information.

Bug Fixes

We have resolved a number of issues to improve platform stability, performance, and accuracy. This update includes fixes for user interface display issues, solver errors, and data inconsistencies to ensure a smoother and more reliable experience.

Residential Building Features

  • Corrected the wireframe data for the 'Podium 2BR' unit template, restoring it to its original, intended configuration.
  • An error that occurred when enabling the horizontal wireframe view in the unit editor has been resolved. The wireframe overlay can now be activated without issue.
  • Fixed an issue where a residential building would occasionally disappear from the project navigation panel after being merged with another tower. The platform now handles the merging of buildings more reliably, ensuring all elements remain visible and correctly configured.
  • An error that prevented the creation of closed-loop residential building forms has been resolved, enabling greater flexibility in your architectural designs.

Industrial Building Features

  • Fixed an issue where updating the length and width of a modular data centre would cause an error. These dimensions can now be modified successfully to reflect design changes.
  • The solver for modular data centres now correctly generates the specified number of HV Lots. The model will now accurately reflect any number entered.
  • Addressed a display issue on the Building Settings page for industrial projects where the left-hand navigation panel was distorted. The panel now displays correctly.
  • Resolved a solver error that occurred when placing both detached and semi-detached warehouses on the same site. You can now combine these building types without issue.
  • Fixed a layout issue in multi-storey data centres where the loading bay could overlap with office space after updating design criteria. The layout now adjusts correctly to prevent clashes.
  • Addressed a layout problem in single data hall data centres where the loading bay would overlap with the generator space. The automated layout now correctly positions these elements.
  • Resolved an issue in certain shared office data centre configurations where access corridors next to data hall clusters were not being generated. The layouts now correctly include all necessary circulation paths.
  • Corrected the layout logic for shared office data centres where the loading bay width could incorrectly exceed the office width. The loading bay is now sized appropriately relative to the office area.
  • Fixed an error that occurred on the Project Targets page when modifying a target value for industrial projects. You can now update project targets smoothly.
  • Reduced the delay that occurred when re-solving a data centre after its criteria had been updated, resulting in a more responsive user experience.

Structural Features

  • Resolved an issue where engineering configuration data was occasionally processed incorrectly, causing solver errors. The platform now ensures this data is handled reliably, improving the stability of the solving process.
  • Fixed a problem where the last modified field in the engineering configuration settings was not always saving correctly. All changes are now reliably saved.
  • MEP property values displayed in the properties panel are now rounded for improved readability.
  • Resolved an issue where selecting an element from the model navigation panel would not highlight it in the 3D view. This selection and highlighting functionality has been restored.

Supplier Features

  • Corrected an issue that caused inaccurate embodied carbon calculations for certain steel members from specific suppliers. Embodied carbon values are now calculated correctly, ensuring the accuracy of your sustainability assessments.

Site Features

  • Zone area metrics in the Site Space now update automatically after a solve. You no longer need to manually refresh the page to see the latest area calculations.
  • Corrected an issue with the units used for displaying construction time, ensuring all time-based metrics are accurate and clear.
  • The exported area schedule for a scenario now correctly includes data for commercial, amenity, and parking spaces, ensuring your downloaded reports are complete.
  • Improved performance when solving new buildings on sites that already contain very tall structures. This reduces solving time and improves platform responsiveness.
  • The download option for the construction cost dynamic schedule is now fully functional, allowing you to export cost data as expected.
  • Fixed an issue where zone metrics did not correctly update after converting a zone from 'buildable' to 'non-buildable'. The area metrics now accurately reflect the current zone designation.
  • Improved security and administrative controls by ensuring that users belonging to a 'Blocked' organisation can no longer access the application. Access rights are now correctly enforced based on organisation status.
